"Just keep swimming"...diving in for post number two

Like I said on my 'about me' page, I am totally new to social media, but that's no excuse not to have a go.
It is rather daunting and exciting at the same time.

So, what was your favourite childhood book?

One of my favourites was 'Pookie" by Ivy Wallace. It was the first book I ever borrowed from  the brand new public library just opened in my village, way back in 1959!

I fell in love with the little white rabbit with wings, who quickly became part of my childhood.
Looking at the illustrations today, I feel that Ivy Wallace's beautiful muted images create a fantasy world that children can still relate to. A world full of magic and wonder.
